The Black TV & FiLM Collective
BTFC is a Brooklyn based 501c3 non-profit organization. Initially started as a group to discuss diversity in television and film, early members decided to become something formal for their community. Now boasting over 1200 members, they host workshops, networking events, showcases, and create original projects such as Keloid, which over a dozen members of the collective contributed their talents to.
Written, produced and directed by BTFC founder Huriyyah Muhammad, supernatural webseries Keloid revolves around the journey a mother and her son take to wrestle his newfound telekinetic powers under control, and hide out from mistakes in their past that haunt (and hunt) them.
As seen on Blavity, Afropunk, Ebony and more, Season 2 has been successfully crowdfunded and is in pre-production.
